Cooper

Foster to Adoption Happy Ending

A Balanced Training Success Story:

Cooper came to us as a well loved but completely untrained 90lb puppy foster. His Dad got a rough medical diagnosis and couldn’t keep him, so we felt compelled to help even though we already had two big dogs. After 3 days I didn’t think we would last a week. He was sweet but unruly, insisted on sleeping on our bed (whined and barked when we put him in the crate), and had no leash training, which was a challenge for me given that my husband had the other two dogs and I had to deal with him.

I called Sarah asking for help.

Over the phone, with her direction, we had Cooper crate trained in two days.

Whew! Then we did a one-on-one session at the park, and he was walking on leash like a champ. We worked on recall, continued leash training, and even muzzle training because he was very anxious at the vet. Sarah’s help allowed us to keep Cooper a full month before he found a wonderful forever home. The training he received has helped him transition wonderfully into his new family.
